Why we do this
Thomas & Co started because too many business owners were being left in the dark by their accountant.
Figures that arrived too late to be useful. Jargon where there should have been plain answers. Invoices for a five-minute phone call. We wanted to build the opposite of that — a practice where you always know where you stand, where the advice is proactive rather than after-the-fact, and where there's a real person who knows your name and your business.
Today we work with entrepreneurial small businesses across Tamworth, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Atherstone and the wider Staffordshire area, acting as their finance function and their trusted adviser. The tools have moved to the cloud and the tax rules keep changing, but the principle hasn't: keep it clear, keep it personal, and always act in the client's best interest.
